MUFG Launches Virtual Account Management Solution to Enhance Treasury Operations
PR Newswire
NEW YORK, Oct. 29, 2026
NEW YORK, Oct. 29, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG), one of the world’s largest global financial groups, proudly announces the launch of Virtual Account Management (VAM), a new digital liquidity solution designed to help clients simplify cash management, improve cash visibility, and streamline treasury operations.
VAM enables organizations to link multiple virtual accounts to a single physical account. By reducing the need for multiple bank accounts, clients can simplify structures while maintaining visibility and control over cash flows. Benefits could include improved reconciliation, centralized liquidity management, enhanced transparency, and greater operational efficiency.
The release follows a successful pilot program by MUFG, where VAM was used to establish virtual accounts, process U.S. dollar transactions, and leverage enhanced reporting capabilities.
“I am pleased that we are expanding our Liquidity Solutions to include VAM,” said Val Strappa, Head of Transaction Banking at MUFG. “This demonstrates our commitment to providing a comprehensive suite of cash management services and global connectivity to our clients to more efficiently manage their liquidity.”
In addition to the launch of VAM in the Americas, MUFG Bank is also exploring opportunities to expand this solution globally.
