Optimum, a leading provider of fiber internet, mobile, and TV services, today announced a week-long community initiative across Lake Charles – including continued enhancements to its network – as well as support for the people, organizations and neighborhoods that make the community strong.
Throughout the week of October 5, Optimum will donate a total of $4,000 to local organizations, including the Black Heritage Festival Foundation, Voices of Freedom Collective, SWLA Tech Pirates FIRST Robotics team and Big Brothers Big Sisters, while supporting local causes through charitable contributions, employee volunteerism and community events. The week will culminate with Optimum’s Customer Appreciation Day on October 10 featuring family-friendly activities and an iPhone 17 giveaway.
As part of its continued investment in Lake Charles, Optimum has upgraded its network to deliver 2 Gbps internet speeds, giving residents greater speed and capacity to power the growing number of connected devices, applications and activities that are part of everyday life. The upgrade provides families, students and businesses with the connectivity they need to stream, work, learn, game and stay connected – while supporting the community’s continued growth.

Optimum will distribute American flags to the first 50 attendees at Optimum’s Customer Appreciation Day on Oct. 10.
